Curbside Cuts
Run a small pop-up barber station in a city park
Description
Curbside Cuts is a VR haircutting game where players run a small pop-up barber station in a city park.
Customers walk up with coupons, take a seat, and show you the style they are hoping for through a glowing photo reference.
From there, it is up to you to shape their hair using a hands-on VR cutting mechanic.
Instead of traditional hair strands, Curbside Cuts uses a marching cubes hair system, creating chunky, blob-like hair that can be carved, trimmed, and shaped directly in the game world.
Once the haircut is complete, send your customer off with a refreshing soda as a small gift for the road.
How to Play
Curbside Cuts is played in VR.
Take the customer’s coupon when they arrive, then guide them into the chair.
Once seated, they will show you the haircut they want through a glowing photo prompt.
Use your tools to cut and shape their hair as closely as possible to the requested style.
The hair is soft, chunky, and stylised, so the goal is not perfect realism, but creating a haircut that feels close to what the customer asked for.
When you are finished, give the customer a soda and send them on their way.
About the Hair System
The hair in Curbside Cuts is intentionally chunky and stylised.
It is built using marching cubes, which gives the hair a soft voxel-like form that can be carved away during play.
This makes each haircut feel hands-on and playful, even if the final result is a little messy.
